We believe choosing and tasting your wedding cake is an intricate and exciting part of the wedding planning process. In your hour long consult, you can expect to view our portfolio and taste three cake flavors while we design your dream wedding cake. Our team will work closely with you to create a stunning work of art, drawing inspiration from you and all elements of your celebration.
Consultations and tastings are by appointment only and are booked with a $40.00 non-refundable fee. This fee is due three days before your consultation. Should the client book our services, the consultation fee will be applied to the cake order balance. Due to the amount of details to cover in an hour time frame, we encourage you to be on time and limit attendees to a total of four. If you prefer to pick up a tasting kit or have one shipped followed by a phone consultation, this option is also $40.00. Surcharges apply for shipping.
The Fancy Cake Boutique delivers to a wide range of locations. We've delivered large cakes all the way to Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio, so don't hesitate to ask if your wedding is not necessarily in the Houston area.
The delivery charge depends on mileage and will be calculated for you during the initial inquiry so you are aware of the cost.
Initial phase of designing your wedding or special event cake. Our initial consultation will take place via email or phone. Once we have covered the basics we will set up a tasting appointment. We will discuss your event details, flavor options, budget and design ideas. You can view some of our past work in our portfolio and take ideas from there, or start with your own ideas. We suggest bringing inspirational materials such as your invitation, magazines, pictures and color swatches. We can use this to get an idea of the styles that you like and help create your ideal wedding cake.
After our consultation, we work with you through emails, phone consultations, and sketches to help create your vision for your cake and make sure it’s exactly what you want. All design and pricing details are confirmed via email. We will email you a detailed sketch of the design you selected. We can modify your sketch as needed to ensure you are thrilled with your design. Once approved a signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date. Please note that your order will not be confirmed until the deposit is paid. The balance is due three weeks prior to your wedding date.
Your cake is now ready to grace the table at your event! Based on your contract, we will confirm delivery or pick up time. We will also liaise with your event planner and venue to set a delivery window for your order that works with your event timeline, taking the pressure off of you. All delivered cakes are personally delivered and set up by the cake artist . For pick up orders we recommend that cakes be transported on a flat surface in your vehicle.
